Audit engagement
Project Cost Audit Coordination
We coordinate a full financial audit of architecture and construction project costs — from tender packages through progress claims to final account — so owners, architects, and lenders share one clear cost picture.
Who it is for
Property owners, development managers, and architectural practices in Taiwan who need an independent reading of project cost before, during, or after construction.
What is included
- Drawing and specification cross-check against the priced bill of quantities
- Review of contractor progress claims and supporting measurement sheets
- Tracking of variation orders with cost and programme notes
- Coordination meetings with the architect, QS, and client representatives
- Written audit findings with recommended actions and open-item register
What is excluded
- Structural or architectural design services
- Acting as the project’s principal quantity surveyor of record
- Legal representation in formal disputes or arbitration
- On-site quality inspection as a substitute for the site architect
How the work runs
-
Intake & document map
You share the tender set, current cost report, and claim history. We map what exists, what is missing, and where the largest cost risks sit.
-
Reconciliation fieldwork
We compare drawings, quantities, unit rates, and claim calculations; flag mismatches; and list questions for the contractor and design team.
-
Coordination & report
Findings are walked through in a working session, then issued as a dated audit report with an open-item register for follow-up.
Preparation that helps
Bring the latest issued drawings, the priced bill of quantities, the contract sum analysis, and any variation logs. If progress payments are underway, include the last three claim packages. Incomplete files slow the audit; we will tell you early which gaps matter most.
Constraints we work within
We remain independent of the contractor’s commercial team. Our role is to test the numbers and the supporting measurement — not to redesign the building or renegotiate the entire contract on your behalf. Where a finding suggests a commercial action, we describe the cost impact and leave the decision with you.
